Presidents: Robert & Melinda Shaffer 303-653-1603
A short Shaffer history: Robert has been square dancing since he was in high school. Melinda started square dancing in 2009. They fell in love during mainstream lessons at Bob & Joan Gaunt's home, with Robert angeling, & Melinda learning. The rest, as they say, is history.
They were married in 2010 and square danced their way through CO, WY & MT on their honeymoon. They enjoy dancing, showing purebred dogs, hot air balloons, crafting, & volunteering at the National Western Stock Show & Rodeo.
In 2015, they became Denver Area Square & Round Dance Council Marketing & Publicity Chairs, promoting Square & Round dancing throughout the Denver area. They are proud to represent Scuffed Shoes as Presidents.

Club Caller: Bob & Joan Gaunt
Bob started calling in 1970, joining CALLERLAB in 1990. He has served on several committees and attended numerous CALLERLAB conventions since. Bob and Joan met at a square dance club in Wilmington, DE where Bob was the club caller. They were married in Wilmington, DE in June 2001, the wedding was followed by a square dance reception. After their marriage, they were very active in the Delaware Valley Federation serving on various committees for the local festivals, clubs and caller/cuer organization. They were General Chairman for the 2002 Delaware Valley Square & Round Dance Convention. They moved to Denver, CO from New Jersey in January 2003. They then joined Scuffed Shoes, DACCA, and became active in DASRDC. Bob currently teaches classes for Scuffed Shoes, Swing Thrus, and Hilltoppers. He calls guest spots at clubs throughout Colorado and numerous Party Nights. Bob is Vice President of the Arvada Community Garden, Joan volunteers at Westernaires. Both Bob & Joan volunteer at the National Western Stock Show each January. When not calling or volunteering, they like to take their dog, Levi, and go camping.
